Wall-rope Yoga Clinic
The rope wall comes out of the Iyengar tradition, where the ropes are used to create traction, support, and the kind of precision that's hard to find standing on your own two feet. At Om Prem we work with it through a Purna Yoga lens: alignment that starts from the inside and organizes outward, rather than shapes imposed on the body from the outside.
Over two hours we'll work on alignment in and out of the postures, hip opening, and inversions supported by the ropes. The ropes take the weight, which frees you to feel what your spine, hips, and shoulders are actually doing. Most people find they understand a familiar posture differently after an hour on the wall. We close with a guided Shavasana, longer than you'd get in a regular class.
No prior rope experience needed. 12 stations, so the room stays small.
If you have any contraindications for inversions, please let the teacher know in advance.
You must sign-in to book a spot in this class.
